Haunted Beacon Ghost Walk

Hunt For the Matteawan Ghost!
Step back in time inside Dutchess County’s oldest mansion built in 1709* to hear tales of ancient ghosts, local lore & legends. We share first hand paranormal experiences and old farmhouse hauntings that lead to murder mysteries.

Hear about the Village of Matteawan Ghost (now Beacon) that terrified the village after the civil war. Hear the message of murder the ghost was trying to tell.

Visit a home that was investigated by famous ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren—known for the Amityville horror house, the Conjuring, West Point Investigations and more.  Was there only one ghost in the House on Pancake Hill or many more? Were these ghosts connected to the Matteawan Asylum for the Criminally insane on the outskirts of town?  Are the ghosts that are reaching out to us calling for justice for being sent to the horrors of that place unjustly?  You  be the judge.

Step in side a haunted shop on main street and hear of the entities that dwell within.

The tour is aproximately 1.5 hours long. We start on Main St in historic downtown Beacon and wind our way through the old Village of Matteawan.
*A portion of your ticket purchase will be donated to the Madam Brett Homestead by Beacon Walking Tours.
